Nuit Blanche 2013 (Toronto)

And October has begun and to kick off the month of spooks, changing leaves, costumes, and a drop in temperature is Scotiabank's Nuit Blanche Toronto, this Saturday October 5th. Our normally busy streets will be bustling with a million people roaming the streets with the intention to take in as much art as possible; there are 112 exhibits created by 500 local, nation and international artists throughout the city. Of course AGO's feature artist Ai Weiwei has contributed to the event with his sculpture of over 1,000 bikes, Forever Bicycles, located at Nathan Philips Square.

The majority of the events and exhibitions can be found within the down town core, spanning from Front to Bloor, although my favourite exhibits are those random freestanding pieces that are littered down Queen West and Trinity Bellwoods, which is probably where I'll be spending the bulk of my time, bottle of wine in tow.

The official kick off is at 6:51pm and will go on until the wee hours of Sunday morning. For more information visit http://www.scotiabanknuitblanche.ca/, and take advantage of their Night Planner, and don't forget to check in on Twitter so your friends meeting up with you halfway through the night, know where to go!
