Favourite Christmas Tracks (video compilation)

Christmas may have come and gone but that doesn't mean I'm just quite ready to pack up the holiday tunes. The following is a collection of some of my favourite Christmas songs of a all time, and a few new appreciations I picked up this year.

First up, Justin Bieber's "Mistletoe." Yeah, I love the Biebs. It's happened, I've admitted it to myself.

No holiday season is complete without Mariah Carey singing how all she wants for Christmas is you... add the Biebs to the mix and she hits a whole new up and coming demographic. Way to stay Christmas relevant Mirage.

I never thought the Far East Movement would be in my favourite Holiday Playlist but with such a catchy chorus "Christmas in Downtown LA" featuring MNEK has made it.

I definitely do not want a diamond belly ring, but I do want to feel in La-la-la-love, and who doesn't love a man who's generous enough to buy you presents for 8 days straight? I know my girl Lisa loved her recent 5 days of Christmas... Jealousy is not appropriate for the holiday season, right?

One of my favourite Christmas songs of all time, was recorded by Catwoman herself, Ms Eartha Kitt in 1953. When I finally put out a Christmas Album of my own (that's how you know you've made it), this song will most definitely be on it.

Yes another Bieber track, this time he's accompanied by Busta Rhymes in their remake of the "Drummer Boy" after it being repeated at the beginning of every NBA game yesterday, it's pretty much ingrained itself in my subconscious.

Britney Spears' "My Only Wish this Year" is another song that just gets stuck in my head that I want to keep singing... about my bay-be-bay-be-bay-be.

No Holiday season is complete with getting a little hopeful and political thanks to the late John Lennon above and Bob Geldof's Band Aid below.

This is the original Band Aid from 1984, but there was also a Band Aid II in 1989, and a Band Aid 20 in 2004.
My favourite Christmas album of ALL TIME, belongs to Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, picking just one is impossible "Winter Wonderland,""I Believe in Santa Claus," and the above "Christmas Without You" are all classics and stir up some of my fondest tape deck memories.

LL Cool J – Take It f. Joe (video)

I was just talking to a friend last night about how much I love LL's videos and a mere week ago a girlfriend and I were discussing whatever happened to Joe? He stuttered his way into oblivion? (Yea, you saw what I did there!) Now we see the two of them together in LL's "Take It" video... talk about manifestation at work. Now all I need to do is start wondering where my Idris Elba is with my 10 million.

LL Cool J's Authentic Hip Hop is scheduled to drop February 12th.

Big Sean – Mula f. French Montana (video)

Big Sean drops the visuals for his Young Chop-produced track "Mula" featuring French Montana, directed by Mike Carson & Mike Waxx. Find the track on Sean's latest mixtape Detroit, which also features J. Cole, Key Wayne, Lex Luger, Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, King Chip, Don Cannon, Juicy J... the list goes on. Rita Ora - Radioactive (video)

"How We Do" has become one of my nephews favourite videos, due to both the catchiness of the track and probably how much Rita Ora resembles the 3 year old's first love, Rihanna. Well Jay-Z's newest Roc Princess brings us the visuals for "Radioactive" from her debut album, ORA.

Dragonette - Merry Xmas (Says Your Text Message) (video)

Toronto's electro-trio Dragonette took to their Twitter account to preview the visuals to their latest track, "Merry Xmas (Says Your Text Message)." Dragonette are currently on tour to promote their third studio album Bodyparts, which is available now.

Rihanna at the Victoria's Secret Runway Show

Tuesday night the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show aired for all the world to drool over see. As per usual the star-studded attendees got to witness tall, beautiful models with alien proportions bounce and strut down the runway to a pop-rock soundtrack. In between all the legs (yes there is a pun to be had, but I will not go there), and to ensure the energy level stays up, VS always offers a popular musical act, this year Rihanna was one of them. And she took her VS performance duties to the stage in a variety of lingerie inspired looks.

Rihanna's Pink Carpet look started off great with the retro waves, clean face and retro lip and teddy-inspired satin cropped top and then the look went south, south of her navel. Not only was her white pencil skirt an odd length, it looks like she pulled it out of a ball from her hamper, found the closest pair of shoes next to said hamper and walked out the door.

It wasn't until Rihanna hit the stage that we were almost able to see what she was hiding under that tragic skirt; the pink lace is flattering on her and yet she still covered up her assets with a sweatshirt? Since when is Rihanna so modest?!?!

Finally! While she's still uncharacteristically covered up, she's wearing a decolletage-enhancing bustier, thigh high stockings and garter, and on top of all that she's showing off the crease where her thigh meets her lady parts. Throw in the lace gloves and pearl choker and you've got an uber sexed up costume, something the most sought-out dominatrix would be envious of. Speaking of... Madonna AND Elton John would be turning in their graves over this one... yes I realize neither of them are dead, but if they were.... Okay fine, I can only imagine the cat fight that would occur between the two regular-sparring partners over who would own those pearl glasses next and would rock the look best. The image created in my mind is magical and for that, I thank you Rihanna!

Wiz Khalifa - Remember You (video)

Trying to get back into the swing of things after my month long hiatus, and also trying to catch up on everything worthwhile that I missed! One of those includes Wiz Khalifa's, Ryan Hope-directed video "Remember You" featuring Toronto's own R&B/electronica/trip-hop artist The Weeknd.

I love every instant our city is put on the entertainment map and this is no exception. Thoughts? Dig it?
